This is the name given to the program that teaches swimming to individuals that have not had the opportunity to learn this sport / skill. As a skill, knowing how to swim can save your life one day. As a sport, you will be able to perform no weight bearing exercises that both, require coordination and engage most muscles in your body. As a workout, it improves your cardiovascular system. Swimming also brings an opportunity to expose your senses to a new environment, helping you reach a level of relaxation that is not normally achieved in other sports. It is a sport that can even be practiced by individuals that are currently recovering from other sport injuries.
This program is an initiative to offered free of charge for individuals that cannot afford to pay for lessons elsewhere.
